Lana-Lee Hardacre, President of Conestoga College local 237 intercepted Premier Kathleen Wynne outside Kitchener City Hall and asked her to intervene in stalled negotiations. Wynne listened as Hardacre outlined the need to get the College Employer Council back to the bargaining table. So far, the Ontario government has remained on the sidelines, saying the collective bargaining process should proceed without interference. The problem is, there is no bargaining going on because the college team refuses to come to the table and talk. Government needs to act now so students can return to class.
